Licensing
What license does a vendor need in Florida?
General information, not legal advice.
Florida does not license flooring as a contracting trade. Section 489.117(4)(a) of the Florida Statutes names flooring among the job scopes for which a city or county may not require a state or local license, including as a condition of pulling a permit.
Any Florida license can be checked by name or number on the state's Verify a Licensee search at myfloridalicense.com.
