The work

What locksmith service work does 1Stop send?

Lockouts, rekeys between residents, lock and deadbolt repair, master keying, for managed properties. It is billed per job, and it goes on your payout statement for the period, which 1Stop pays net-14 from completion.

1Stop is the contracting party: it buys the job from you and sells it to the property manager, so you invoice one company and never bid against other vendors for the work.

Licensing

What license does a locksmith service vendor need in Florida?

Locksmithing is not one of the contractor categories that section 489.105 of the Florida Statutes licenses, so Florida's construction licensing law does not reach it.

Wiring a door into a burglar alarm is different. Section 489.505 defines alarm system contracting, which covers devices that detect or signal a burglary, fire, robbery or medical emergency, and it is licensed under part II of chapter 489 alongside electrical work.

What 1Stop asks of a locksmith vendor is the current certificate of insurance and W-9 that every vendor keeps on file.

What 1Stop holds on file for every locksmith service vendor is a current certificate of insurance and a W-9.
