The work

What emergency restoration work does 1Stop send?

Water, smoke and sewage. Mitigation first, then make good, for managed properties. It is billed per job, and it goes on your payout statement for the period, which 1Stop pays net-14 from completion.

1Stop is the contracting party: it buys the job from you and sells it to the property manager, so you invoice one company and never bid against other vendors for the work.

Licensing

What license does a emergency restoration vendor need in Florida?

Florida licenses mold work separately from construction. Section 468.8411 of the Florida Statutes defines mold remediation as treating more than 10 square feet of mold, and section 468.8419 bars a remediator from doing it without complying with that part of the statutes, under which DBPR licenses mold remediators.

The same definition sets a limit. Remediation may not include work that needs a construction license under chapter 489 unless a licensed contractor does it, so any rebuild that touches a licensed trade, such as plumbing, goes to that trade.

What 1Stop holds on file for every emergency restoration vendor is a current certificate of insurance and a W-9.
