The work

What appliance repair work does 1Stop send?

Refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, washers and dryers, in units and laundry rooms, for managed properties. It is billed per job, and it goes on your payout statement for the period, which 1Stop pays net-14 from completion.

1Stop is the contracting party: it buys the job from you and sells it to the property manager, so you invoice one company and never bid against other vendors for the work.

Licensing

What license does a appliance repair vendor need in Florida?

Appliance repair is not one of the contractor categories that section 489.105 of the Florida Statutes licenses.

The refrigerant is a federal matter. EPA rules under section 608 of the Clean Air Act require technicians who maintain, service, repair or dispose of equipment that could release refrigerant to be certified, by passing an EPA-approved test for the kind of equipment they work on. Type I certification covers servicing small appliances.

The work around an appliance can still need a licensed trade. A plumbing contractor's scope under section 489.105 includes water and natural gas lines, so a new supply line or gas connection goes to plumbing, and a new circuit goes to electrical.

What 1Stop holds on file for every appliance repair vendor is a current certificate of insurance and a W-9.
